1. Check whether the switch pins are bent / the switch is broken

  2. Check whether the metal leaves inside the hotswap socket open too widely. If so, use your tweezers to adjust them back to normal. Make sure they can touch the switch pins simultaneously

  3. Test the socket with tweezers to see if the key can be triggered. If the key can be triggered, the socket is fine. Your switch or installation is problematic. If not, then the socket is dead.
