Dear Customers,
Thanks for subscribing our Newsletter.
Today, we are announcing that Qwertykeys 65 (hereinafter QK65) will be on sale on https://www.qwertykeys.com/products/qk65 at 6PM EST, on 30th of March, 2022. We apologize for not releasing the date earlier as our operation and supplies were impacted by a city-wide lockdown.
We separated the barebones kit (no plate or PCB) and the accessories on two product pages to reduce the actions needed to secure a unit during purchase. Parts inventory will be online at 6:20 PM EST on the same day and will last a week. We hope our customers can take the time to consider the specs and spare parts they need as we do not provide order change service after the sale.
Hence, please be there on time and purchase the barebones kit that you like, with the limit of one unit per order, and purchase plates/PCB later. It is necessary to acquire one plate and one PCB to make your QK65 functional.
This current format has been proven to be efficient for Owlab sales as it provides flexibility of parts choices and simplifies the task into convenient segments. We will continue to monitor the feedback of our customers to optimize the sale experience.
We also wish to take this letter to introduce a bit more in depth about our relationship with Owlab.
QK65 is not an Owlab product - although it’s a collaborative design. By no means that we are trying to hint that this product will use the same grade of surface processing technique or the same accuracy of machining as Mr. Suit or Spring, at a fraction of their price.
Qwertykeys carries a different mission. Rapid pacing of products and cost-effectiveness differentiate us from other luxurious brands. We focus on more affordable models with the spirit of innovation and more importantly, we wish to bring a similar typing experience of Owlab designs to the entry level market.
We will keep sharing the same community managers, suppliers, internal design concept, and QC team/standards with Owlab to ensure the same bars of quality and operating efficiency without increasing the price.
With that said, as we are not physically the same business entity, we will not be able to ship your QK65 with Owlab keyboard parts. In the future, Owlab will set up an independent website to avoid confusion about the relationship and operate in parallel.
Why is shipping so expensive?
Why it’s direct-shipped over vendors?
What about individual weight? future rounds? Other layouts?
Thank you for your time and looking forward for your feedback.
Best,
Syrah
